Our Farmhouse-Styled Christmas Entryway
Hey friends, and thanks for stopping by today! I wanted to share with you how I decorated our entryway using some fun accessories -- both from fabulous stores and from our own home!
I chose to go with a farmhouse-y vibe when deciding on our entry decor. We definitely don't live in a farmhouse, but one can dream, right? :) Plus, anyone can have that rustic, country look with a modern twist in their own home, no matter what style of house they live in! So, let's get started on our farmhouse-styled Christmas entry!
What do you think about this gorgeous table? It was love at first sight when I spotted this beauty in the store last week! I just love everything about it, from the curvy legs to the stain color. :) It adds just the right amount of farmhouse style. ;)
I wanted to bring out some pops of red, so I found some red ticking fabric and a small spool of burlap sitting in my craft stash upstairs, and my sweet mother-in-law and precious daughter made this garland for me. Didn't they do an amazing job?! It was a true labor of love! :) The fun felt snowflake garland is from Target, and I simply draped it over the ticking garland.
I used a lot of items from around my home, like these mercury candle holders, old books, faux greenery, the vintage frog holding a "4+4" flashcard, an over-sized enamel pitcher, and a scrap of white faux fur as the runner. The soft, gray buck and the white trees are recent Target purchases. I love how they tie in with what I already had at home!
When thumbing through my collection of old books, I looked for bindings that were green and/or neutral, to keep the color palette oozing with Christmas colors. :)
And I zoomed in on this thrifted, antique ironstone platter to show you the gold monogramming surrounded by a laurel wreath. I just love, love, LOVE it, especially because the letter "B" is the beginning of our last name!
The white trees and the skis are from Target, and the wood charger came from Michaels. On top of the silver candle holder is another buck, a Christmas tree and some fake snow -- all from thrift stores or yard sales. Picture me trying to carefully place toy creatures on top of fake snow that's light as a feather! It was definitely a challenge -- ha!
Inside this cloche are some special treasures I found while on my weekly thrifting hunts. (Yes, I said weekly, but maybe I mean daily. I just can't help myself. Ahem.)
And last (but not least!) is the "It is well" sign from "Between You and Me Signs" that sits so beautifully above our console table. When I spotted this sign at the Country Living Fair this past Fall, I knew I needed to have it in our home! This modern, rustic sign not only fits perfectly with our farmhouse decor, but it also serves as an endearing reminder of God's grace, His tender love and His everlasting mercy!
Well, I hope you like our entryway! It's been a blast putting together fun accessories for this little space in our home.
